Strawberry Mango Green Smoothie


Thick, creamy, & delicious characterizes this strawberry mango green smoothie.  I make this almost every day of the year not just because of how amazing it tastes but also because of how amazing it makes me feel.  Energized and satisfied.  My secret recipe is as follows…


1 ripe avocado

1 Cup spinach leaves

1-2 slices of lemon with the rind left ON

1 1/2 Cups of frozen mango chunks

1 Cup of frozen strawberries

2/3 Cup of water

Optional – a little sweetener of your choice (I usually add a bit of stevia but it’s not necessary)

Also Optional – protein powder (I use a scoop of unsweetened collagen powder)


Use one 24 oz blender cup for the amount of ingredients I have listed.  I find that it really helps to first blend all of the ingredients together except for the frozen fruit.  Then when you add the frozen fruit to the blended mixture it blends up much more easily and you can achieve that nice thick creamy texture without too much of a fuss when blending.
